Making lunch fun
I’ve been coveting the Mr. Bento lunch jar ever since Ariel of Electrolicious began blogging about it earlier this month. Luckily, Vancouver has no shortage of stores selling Japanese kitchen gadgets, so this evening I’m off to find one for myself. Stay tuned for lots of pretty lunch photos.
Turning over a new leaf
A new year, a new semester, and time to start blogging again.
Regan asked me if I ever planned on updating this website again… I am going to try to be better about it this time, really.
I had a nice Christmas break, with visits to both Hamilton and Halifax. Now I’m back in Vancouver, where we’re a few days away from breaking the record for “most consecutive days of rain.” We’re currently at 26, and the record is 28. On the local CBC radio morning show they’re doing the Noah’s Ark countdown.
It’s shaping up to be a busy – but fun – semester at school. In addition to research and coursework I’ll be doing some TA work for UBC’s intro computer science course, and I’ll also be mentoring a team of high school students in East Van through ChicTech. However, the best thing so far about this semester? The new express bus to UBC that saves me 15-20 minutes in commute time!
