		<description>Yeah, Halifax has had green bins since at least 1999 as well!  For a city that seems so green in other respects, I&#039;m really perplexed that Vancouver hasn&#039;t gotten their act together yet on the composting thing.

I thought about doing vermi-composting at home  but a friend who tried it said the little wormies aren&#039;t actually able to compost very much at all, and she ended up throwing out a lot of compostable stuff!</description>

		<description>I also find it really weird that Vancouver doesn&#039;t have compost pickup along with garbage &amp; recycling.  Back in 1999 when I was Guelph, they already had that!
