I have been working and teaching in the area of Human-Computer Interaction since 2004. My technical education in Computer Science, combined with my graduate specialization in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) has provided me with the technical and design knowledge to provide solutions which take into account system requirements while also addressing end-user needs.

Worked as a consultant for a variety of public and private sector clients. Duties included conducting client workshops and producing a variety of business- and user-centered deliverables including wireframes, workflow diagrams, site maps, personas, and requirements documents.

Developed curriculum, led tutorials, supervised labs, and marked assignments for third- and fourth-year university courses in User Interface Design and Human-
Computer Interaction. Taught a variety of usability techniques and skills including requirements gathering, prototyping, heuristic evaluation, questionnaire design, observation techniques, and use of video.
Collaboration Network Coordinator at Banff New Media Institute
September 2004 to April 2005
Collaborated with artists and new media researchers on several ongoing research projects. Designed interfaces, planned user studies, and analyzed study data to shape the design of the Am-I-Able mobile game project and the Science Toys educational tools project.
