Website Usability Evaluation
(Stakeholder interviews, heuristic evaluation & detailed usability report)
Led a large-scale usability evaluation of UBC’s Department of Computer Science website. Conducted stakeholder interviews to build initial list of requirements and issues, and followed up with a heuristic evaluation to gather detailed information about specific usability problems. Produced a final report for the department’s communication committee outlining the problems we identified, breaking them down both by problem type and by website section. This report will be used to inform a planned major overhaul of the website in the next fiscal year.

Website Development
(WordPress installation, customization, theming & end user training)
I worked with the VPW club executive to develop a usable, easy-to-update solution. I selected WordPress as the content management solution. In addition to installing the system, I took the existing static HTML web design and converted it to a WordPress theme. Upon completion of this work I provided training on the WordPress platform to the club executive so that they would be able to make their own changes and updates to the website.

Website development
(Drupal installation, customization, theming & end user documentation)
Working under subcontract with a PR specialist (Lefty Lucy) I created a large-scale extensible website using the Drupal content management system. I installed Drupal along with several add-on modules including an event calendar and a multi-lingual workflow system to aid in the creation of bilingual content. I also took the static HTML design provided for the site and converted it to a Drupal template. After the design was complete I wrote extensive documentation to act as a guide for members of the organization who would be managing the content on a daily basis.
